What we collect
roi.mt stores email addresses voluntarily provided through our forms — installer-quote requests, waitlist signups, and similar. We may also store the form inputs you used (such as roof area, electricity bill) and the URL of the calculator run that produced your result, so we can later send you a more personalized response.
How we use it
To respond to you, route quote requests to installers (only after explicit confirmation), and notify you when new calculators are available. We do not sell your data.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and understand which pages are most useful. It is cookieless: no identifier is stored on your device, no cross-site tracking, and we cannot identify individual visitors. Data is aggregated at Cloudflare's edge.
We also use PostHog (hosted in the EU) for product analytics, and optionally session replay, to see how the calculators are used. This is strictly opt-in: nothing loads and no identifier is set until you click Accept on the consent banner. If you accept, PostHog stores a first-party identifier so we can count returning visitors and follow a journey through the calculators. If you decline, it is never initialised. Any session replay has all form inputs masked — the email address and figures you type are never recorded. You can withdraw at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which removes your choice and the identifier.
Advertising
To keep the calculators free, we may show one or two non-intrusive ads via Google AdSense. We've configured AdSense in non-personalised mode by default — Google does not use your browsing history or interests to select ads, only the content of the page you're on.
Non-personalised AdSense may still set basic cookies for fraud prevention and frequency capping, governed by Google's policies. If you'd like to opt out entirely, install a content blocker — we won't try to detect or work around it.
If we ever switch to personalised ads (higher revenue), we'll add a clear consent banner first, in line with EU/Malta GDPR + ePrivacy law.
Your rights
Under GDPR and Malta's Data Protection Act, you can request deletion of any personal data we hold (just an email address in most cases). Email ian@roi.mt and we'll remove your data within 30 days.
